Arson Suspect Arrested

A Gulfport man has been arrested in connection with a fire that destroyed a building belonging to a church in Gulfport. Twenty-four year-old Thierre Moore has been charged with first degree arson.

The April 4^th fire destroyed an abandoned house that was on property recently purchased by Progressive Missionary Baptist Church. Church leaders say they had been considering demolishing the home.

If convicted, Moore could face up to twenty years in prison.
