Arrests made in two separate animal cruelty cases in Picayune

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)- Picayune Police officers have made arrests in two separate animal cruelty cases.

On May 2nd, 2025 Picayune Police Department became aware of an incident that occurred at a convenience store in the city involving abuse of a dog.

Officers viewed the surveillance video from the previous day and observed Zachary Dickerson punching, kicking, and dragging an unconscious dog in the parking lot.

A warrant was obtained for Dickerson and he was located and arrested on May 3rd, 2025 for the offense of Aggravated Animal Cruelty. He was then transported to the Pearl River County Jail.

On May 5th, 2025 officers responded to a call on Telly Rd where a dog had been killed.

Upon further investigation, it was learned that Christina Sizemore had kicked and stomped a small dog until it died from its injuries.

Sizemore was arrested for the offense of Aggravated Animal Cruelty and transported to the Pearl River County Jail.
