Arrests made in recent burglaries in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- Long Beach police make multiple arrests in a string of recent burglaries.

Eighteen-year-old Devin Roper of Long Beach and a 17-year-old from Gulfport were arrested Thursday after police responded to a vehicle burglary in progress at the Arbor Station Apartment complex.

The investigation later revealed that a vehicle occupied by the two had been involved in a string of burglaries committed earlier this week.

There are also two other juveniles that are being charged in this case, who are now at the Harrison County Juvenile Detention Center.

Meanwhile, Roper and the 17-year-old are being charged with seven counts of vehicle burglary, one count of possession of burglary tools, and one count of attempted vehicle burglary and possession of marijuana.
