Arrests made in deadly Stone County shooting

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Stone County last week.

Sheriff Todd Stewart said 21-year-old Zylan Joshua has been charged with one count of murder. 23-year-old Jukriston Thompson has been charged with accessory after the fact.

Stewart said 21-year-old Tyrese Moye was found at a residents on East Avery Road when deputies responded to a call about a shooting about 8:30 p.m.

Moye apparently was shot in the head and was dead when deputies responded, Stewart said.

During the investigation, a person of interest was identified and taken into custody for questioning. The person of interest also was charged on a separate gun charge.
