Arrests made in connection to fatal crash on Gulfport Beach

Gulfport Police announced the arrest of two people in connection with the fatal Gulfport accident

25-year-old Bryan Ortiz and 26-year-old Wandaliz Rosario were arrested on January 29 and charged with one count of manslaughter.

Ortiz was driving the car that hit D’Ante Burks on the beach in Gulfport.

During the course of the investigation, it was learned Ortiz and Rosario were in a physical alteration inside of the car.

This caused Ortiz to lose control and hit Burks.
