Arrests made in connection to drive-by shooting on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport

Three arrests have been made in connection with a drive-by shooting on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.

On June 6, 2022, the Gulfport Police Department arrested 19-year-old Dayjohi Keshawn Wright, on two counts of drive-by-shooting, and 20-year-old Raymond Allen Derks Jr., and charged him with accessory after the fact.

Malaysha Annastasia Curry, 18-years-old, was also arrested for tampering with evidence.

On June 6, 2022, at approximately 11:58 a.m., the Gulfport Police Department responded to the 11000 block of Three Rivers Road in reference to a shooting

Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that Wright and Derks had gotten into a previous altercation with the victim.  Wright and Derks observed the victim at the business today; and as the victim exited his vehicle to pump gas, Wright discharged a firearm from the vehicle.  The victim was transported to a local area hospital and was listed in stable  condition.

After booking and processing, Wright, Derks, and Curry were transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.  Wright is being held on a $500,000 bond. Derks is being held on a $250,000 bond. Curry is being held on a $100,000 bond.
