Arrests made in Harrison County card skimmers
On Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of 29-year-old Luis Alberto Jiminez, 31-year-old Alejandro Lorene Martinez, and 28-year-old Yaudel Pina, all of Texas, on four felony counts of possession of a scanning device.
On March 21, 2018, deputies responded to a Robinwood One Stop gas station in Saucier on a call from a concerned citizen of a suspicious vehicle parked next to the gas pumps. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the suspects, who were all occupying the vehicle. They were arrested for trespassing and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility.
Further investigation revealed items located in the vehicle that were used in placing and operating scanning devices that had been placed recently into the gas pumps. Investigators determined that Jiminez, Martinez, and Pina were the ones responsible for placing the scanning devices inside the gas pumps.
The suspects were booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility and charged with four counts of unlawful use of scanning devices. They are being held on $15,000 bond on each charge.
