Arrests made after drugs found in Pearl River County

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department announces the arrest of two men on drug charges.

The first incident happened on October 14. A deputy was patrolling Highway 13 when a truck was spotted with only one headlight and an expired license plate.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Andrew Fearman.

The deputy searched the truck and found a clear plastic bag containing unknown substances. A field test showed it to be a mix of cocaine, meth, fentanyl, and two other drugs.

Fearman was brought to the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice Center.

This past Sunday, deputies were helping the Picayune Police Department with a joint safety checkpoint at the Intersection of Richardson Road and Highway 43.

A Nissan Altima was stopped and the driver identified as Robert Breland.

Breland did not have a valid driver’s license, officers also noticing signs of nervousness.

A deputy searched the car, finding a plastic bag of what is expected to be meth as well as a hypodermic syringe.

Breland was taken to the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice Center.
