Arrested on two counts of burglary in D’Iberville

Fifty-eight-year-old Daniel Earl McLaurin of Gulfport was arrested on two counts of vehicle burglary, which took place on October 14, 2023 at Promenade Parkway in D’Iberville.

The arrest stems from the investigation into vehicle burglaries that occurred at the Promenade Parkway following a report received from a witness.

The witness stated they observed an older black male making entry into unlocked vehicles in the parking lot and was also observed attempting to make entry into locked vehicles as well.

Officers began to canvas the area near businesses and located an individual matching the description near a parked, unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot.

The investigation revealed that the suspect, Daniel Earl McLaurin, was found to have property in his possession, which was soon learned to be property stolen from vehicles in the area, and was apprehended without incident on scene.

Subsequently, McLaurin was transported to the D’Iberville Police Department, interviewed by a detective, and then charged with the crimes.

McLaurin was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and booked with a total bond of $20,000.00 set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain pending an initial appearance
