Arrested on the charge domestic violence and felony eluding in D’Iberville

Antony Giang Truong Nguyen, of D’Iberville, was arrested on the charge of aggravated domestic violence and felony eluding.
On January 19, 2024, officers with the D’Iberville Police Department responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Wayne Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim stated her boyfriend, Antony Nguyen, had physically assaulted her and attempted to strangle her.
The victim stated Nguyen fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Officers observed signs consistent with the victim’s statement.
An officer returned to the residence later that night and observed the vehicle Nguyen was reported to be travelling in, parked outside the residence.
The officer located Nguyen hiding inside the vehicle and ordered him out. Nguyen refused to comply with the officer and fled in the vehicle. The officer pursued Nguyen who crashed the vehicle into a parked vehicle located on Bruce Cove. Nguyen fled the scene on foot and could not be located.
On January 22, 2024, Nguyen was located by officers at the residence and taken into custody without incident. Nguyen is charged with aggravated domestic violence and felony eluding and has been given a $100,000.00 bond for each charge set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain pending an initial appearance.
