Arrested for felony DUI

One man is behind bars for felony DUI after officials responded to a hit and run off Highway 603 in Hancock County on Saturday.
According to Bay St. Louis Police Department, 55-year-old Gerald Banks was involved in an accident on Kiln-Waveland cutoff road and fled the scene. He was located on Washington Street and failed to stop for officers.
Banks stopped at the 600 block of Union Street where he was taken into custody for leaving the scene of an accident, felony DUI fourth offense, failure to stop for police and DUI child endangerment for having two juveniles, a two-year-old and an eight-year-old, inside the vehicle.
