Arrested for auto burglary and theft

Pascagoula and Ocean Springs police worked together to end a string of car thefts Tuesday afternoon along the Coast.

Around 5 p.m., police issued a ‘be on the lookout’ for three stolen vehicles that were taken from the Planet Fitness in Ocean Springs.

Just an hour later, an employee from Planet Fitness in Pascagoula called police to report a possible suspect driving a gray Mercedes with no tag. Pascagoula officers spotted and attempted to stop the vehicle before it crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Chicot Road and Highway 90.

Four males were involved in the incident including two juveniles. Police say the suspects used credit cards found in the vehicles to make purchases. The two adults arrested are 19-year-old Trebion Hunter and 19-year-old Shyceal Best, both of Georgia.
