Arrest Made after Police Chase in Jackson County
A police chase in Jackson County seriously injures a woman passenger and lands the Moss Point driver in jail.
The chase began around 6 on Tuesday night when a detective saw 28-year-old Brian Teague allegedly trying to break into a car in the parking lot of a store on Highway 613. When the officer turned on his blue lights, Teague took off, almost hitting the officer’s car.
A pursuit ensued with Teague driving off the road and through people’s yards. His car eventually hit a tree on the passenger side. Teague ran off, leaving his passenger with serious injuries.
Around 2:30 this morning, Teague was arrested during a traffic stop. He’s charged with felony pursuit, aggravated assault on a police officer, and felony leaving the scene of an accident.
