Arrest made in Pascagoula shooting
A Moss Point man is behind bars following a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon on Whitmore Street in Pascagoula, sending one man to the hospital.
According to the Pascagoula Police Department, the motive appeared to be to intimidate a victim or witness in a rape case that occurred in March. Thirty-one year-old Brandon Williams was charged with rape in March by the Pascagoula Police Department.
Williams is currently out on a $75,000 bond in regards to the rape charge and is awaiting trial.
Florence officials arrested Williams on a traffic stop early Saturday morning without incident. He is in custody at the Rankin County Jail waiting to be transported back to the Jackson County Adult Detention Center.
