Arrest made in theft of Grinch décor in D’Iberville

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- One person has been arrested in connection to the theft of the Grinch décor stolen from the City of D’Iberville.

Chief Marty Griffin announced the arrest Monday.

On December 7, officers followed investigative leads that directed them to Andrew Aalbertsberg of D’Iberville.

Aalbertsberg admitted to officers that he took the sign. He led officers to his home where they recovered the wooden Christmas display, which is property of the city.

He was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of stolen property. He was transported to the Harrison County jail for booking.
