Arrest made in connection to suspicious death in Gulfport; Victim identified
An arrest has been made in the suspicious death in Gulfport.
Gulfport Sgt. Jason Ducre confirmed the arrest and said no other information will be released until Monday.
Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer has identified the victim as 42-year-old John Gaither of Gulfport. Gaiter was listed as a missing person by Gulfport Police on December 22nd.
Gulfport police are investigating the suspicious death after a body was found in to the area of 16th Avenue and 22nd Street Thursday. Sgt. Ducre confirms that a body was located in a makeshift container at the scene.
