Arrest Made in Biloxi Church Fire

Biloxi Patrol Officers and members of the Biloxi Fire Department responded to 171 Oak Street (Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church) in reference to a fire. A witness reported the incident after seeing a male standing near the front doors of the church as they burst into flames. Biloxi Patrol Officers arrived on scene and made contact with witnesses who pointed to the direction of 47 year old Hung Dung Nguyen of Biloxi. Contact was later made with Nguyen and he was arrested.
Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong was contacted and he issued a $50,000 bond. Nguyen was charged with arson. He was later transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. The church only received damage to the front doors.
