Arrest made after traffic stop in Pearl River County

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- In Pearl River County, a traffic stop leads to a felony narcotics arrest.

The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department says that around 7 p.m. on Sunday evening, a deputy performed a traffic stop on a car going over the speed limit on Highway 26.

The driver was identified as Brandon Jumonville of Denham Springs, Louisiana.

When the deputy took the driver’s license, they saw it was suspended and saw drug paraphernalia in plain view.

After searching the car, a plastic container was found full of meth and a glass pipe.

Jumonville was brought to the Lenoir Rowell Criminal Justice Center and is booked on possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.
