Arrest made after incident at Ocean Spring High School Thursday

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- There is extra security at Ocean Springs High today after an incident in the parking lot of the school Thursday where a former student allegedly took out a weapon to threaten a student.

Ocean Springs School District officials confirmed that information to WXXV on Friday.

The district sent an email to parents Thursday night, stating that the incident happened while school was dismissing Thursday afternoon.

The former student was arrested by school district police shortly after the incident.

Today is the last day of school for students in the district as they head into the Christmas holiday.
