Armed And Dangerous Man On The Loose

Gulfport police are seeking your help finding a man accused of murder, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of armed robbery.

Authorities say 24 year old “J’var Pope” should be considered armed and dangerous.

Sargent Damon McDaniel tells News 25, officers are searching for pope in connection with a triple shooting back in April that left one man dead and two others injured.

McDaniel says pope approached the three victims with a handgun and demanded money.

During the robbery, pope shot Eugene and Mitchell Weathersby and Jerry Lewis.
All three were taken to a hospital and Mitchell was pronounced dead due to severe injuries.
