Another arrest made in connection to escaped inmates in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, Miss. (WXXV)- Now to an update on the case of the five still at-large inmates who escaped from the Orleans Parish Jail a week ago.

Louisiana authorities have arrested a fourth person accused of helping one of the escaped inmates.

State police say 59-year-old Connie Weeden is accused of sending money to one of the ten inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center.

Five of the prisoners have since been captured and are being held in the Louisiana State Penitentiary without bond.

The other five are still at large, facing several charges including aggravated assault with a firearm.
