Annual Trunk or Treat at Hancock County Child Development Center

Today, the Hancock County Child Development Center held their annual Trunk or Treat in Bay St. Louis.

Volunteers and first responders handed out candy and goodies to more than 100 kids, who were dressed in costumes. Workers and volunteers joined in.

Nine classes were able to stuff their bags as they walked down a small parking lot. Before heading back to class, the kids were able to ride in a train provided by the Waveland Fire Department. HCCDC Director Amanda Besse said, “It shows the kids, that they get such a bad stipulation with some of the first responders, especially the police officers. It shows that they are friendly and they can come to them and them coming out handing treats is a good thing and they feel safe with them.”

The center will continue to have more treats during their Halloween party Monday.
