Annual Trinity Episcopal Pumpkin Patch returns to the Coast
PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WXXV)- It’s officially pumpkin season in Pass Christian and there’s no patch quite like the one at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Volunteers unloaded a fresh shipment of pumpkins all the way from New Mexico and now the patch is open daily from 10 a.m. until dark.
With a backdrop of the beach, it’s the only place on the Coast where the fall meets the Gulf.
But this pumpkin patch is more than just a pretty view, every dollar raised goes right back into the community.
Proceeds support local organizations like the Pass Christian Boys and Girls Club, the Gulfport Humane Society, the Lad Project, and Woodside Wildlife Rescue. Jeanna Tagge, the Pumpkin Lady, said, “That’s what keeps me going. This energizes me. You know, I love talking to the people. I love watching the kids and the families get together and choosing their pumpkins. So, this is wonderful. What better view can you get than right here by the water sparkling like diamonds? We’ve got lots of good picture taken spots, spots, and uh, have a good time.”
The pumpkin patch will be open seven days week from 10 a.m. to dark.
