Annual SHEA Community Baby Shower Set for Saturday, September 7, 2024

Gulfport, MS – The SHEA Community Baby Shower, a beloved annual event, will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the Lyman Community Center, located at 13472 Hwy. 49, Gulfport, MS.

The event will take place from 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM. This free event, open to the public, is designed to support new and expectant mothers along the Gulf Coast by connecting them with essential resources and services.

The SHEA Community Baby Shower has become a cornerstone of community engagement, providing valuable support to families as they prepare for the arrival of their little ones.

This year’s baby shower will feature 30-plus vendors offering a wide range of resources and information tailored to the needs of new and expectant moms. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from experts in various fields, with five guest speakers scheduled to cover topics such as breastfeeding, children’s dental care, and more.

Molina Healthcare will offer A1C and high blood pressure checks through its mobile unit, ensuring that moms have access to vital health screenings.

In addition to informative sessions, the event will include demonstrations of essential skills, such as infant CPR and car seat installations, helping parents feel confident and prepared for their new roles. To add to the excitement, door prize drawings will be held throughout the event, and refreshments will be provided for all attendees.
