Annual Neshoba County Fair
It’s that time of the year again for the annual Neshoba County Fair.
The county fair is known as Mississippi’s giant house party. This experience is a celebration filled with livestock shows, chariot races, live bands, and much more.
This Wednesday and Thursday, fairgoers will have the opportunity to hear political speakers and network with leaders from all over Mississippi.
Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes will attend the fair. He tells News 25 it’s a great time for all parts of Mississippi to come together and learn about the different cultures. “A lot of people in central north Mississippi don’t understand or know about the Coast. We don’t know much about what goes on up there, too. It’s an opportunity to have some fellowship, share some of our great seafood, and just get to know one another.”
Mayor Hewes will participate in the third annual Red Clay and Sand mixer. This is a way to share Coast cuisine and entertainment with people from central and north Mississippi at the Red Clay Hills of Neshoba County.
