Annual Military Training on the Coast

If you see military forces on the Mississippi Sound, don’t be alarmed, it’s just a training exercise.
Several boat teams are set to conduct military exercises along the Gulf Coast. The Biloxi Police Department wants to make sure no one is alarmed. They say this type of training involving contract groups is something the military does every year. Several teams will be out on the water and you may even see some military vehicles in transit from one location to another.
Biloxi Police Chief John Miller said, “This is standard training they do every year. Some of the different boat teams do this. We just wanted people not to be concerned or upset. We want to let them see that they are going to be doing training locally. We’re an old military city here, so it’s not anything unusual or anything to be upset about or worried about.”
The military exercises will start tomorrow and continue through Friday, March 4th.
