Annual Laying of the Wreath

Today the City of Gautier and the American Legion Post 1992 held their annual Veterans Day Laying of the Wreath ceremony.
Local police officers, firemen, and residents of Gautier were welcome to participate in the ceremony and students from Gautier Elementary School joined in on the festivities, singing patriotic songs for the veterans in attendance.
Special guest speaker Senator Michael Watson addressed the crowd with a moving speech about the values that many of our veterans possess and the impact they’ve had on America. “This is the bedrock of where it starts. How we turn this country around and make sure this country is on the right track, when folks take responsibility of their own actions,” said Watson.
This is the fourth time the Laying of the Wreath ceremony has taken place in the City of Gautier.
