Annual Downtown for the Holidays event returns to the City of Pascagoula

The annual Downtown for the Holidays event is back to light up hearts in Pascagoula again.

Ring in the holiday cheer this Friday starting at 5:30 with the lighting of the Christmas tree at Delmas Avenue and Canty Street.

Santa Claus and his sleigh, food vendors, arts and crafts vendors, a parade, and a night ending fireworks show are all on the agenda for the big celebration. Pascagoula Community Relations Director Katarina Scott said, “Obviously Santa is going to be there. Everyone wants to take their picture with Santa. The Goula Grinch, you know, he has been pesky the last few years, but now he is good. He’s actually a Pascagoula police officer. So, he’ll be there giving out treats to the kids and taking pictures. It’s just the parade, camaraderie, and it’s just a whole night of family fun.”

Friday in Pascagoula, the activities will wrap up around 9 p.m.
