Anniversary of Deadly Tornadoes

Five years ago, one of the deadliest strings of storms swept the region with most of the damage in neighboring Alabama.
On April 27th, 2011 a series of tornadoes killed hundreds of people, injured thousands and reduced countless buildings to rubble. More than 120 tornadoes were reported that day, one of the deadliest outbreaks in our nation’s history.
Five years later, some survivors in Alabama are still rebuilding, saying their lives and towns will never be the same.
