The Animals are Back at Beauvoir

The animals are back at Beauvoir.
After a six month hiatus, the beloved camel, goats and others have returned to their home which has since received a bit of a makeover. There’s now a fence outlining the perimeter to keep the camel from freely roaming around and into neighboring homes.
Back in December, Beauvoir board members wanted them to go for liability reasons, but since they’ve been gone Executive Director Greg Stewart says revenue has dropped about 20 percent each month.
Now that they’re back, they’re already a big hit for the children, especially with the newly added pig that Chase Smith donated after finding him in his backyard. “He was in the woods. He found me. My dad told me he put a cage in there and bring it for this. That’s why.”
If you want to see the animals, there are golf carts available to rent out and take a tour of the lot.
