Animal Cruelty Investigation

A sad update to a story we brought you yesterday the cat that had hot water poured over it in what’s become a viral video has died. Meantime Moss Point authorities tell News 25 they have persons of interest in the animal cruelty case. A warning the video we’re about to play is disturbing and viewer discretion is advised. Monday afternoon, this footage was shared on the app “Snapchat.” In the video, the cat had no way of escaping as a man pours scalding water into the cage. Authorities are not releasing the names of those involved. The cat was taken into custody yesterday, but has since died of its injuries. We’ll continue to bring you the latest in the investigation.
