Anglers return to shore as Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo wraps up

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Boats returned to the docks as another year of one of the Gulf Coast’s biggest fishing traditions came to a close.

The Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo wrapped up yesterday evening after competition, camaraderie, and time on the water.

Anglers from across the Gulf Coast headed offshore in search of the biggest catches, competing in a variety of divisions for both offshore and inshore species.

Back at the harbor, spectators gathered to watch the official weigh-ins, check out the day’s catches, and enjoy food, vendors, and family-friendly activities.

The annual rodeo continues to celebrate Mississippi’s rich fishing heritage while bringing together experienced anglers, first-time competitors, and outdoor enthusiasts from across the region.
