Anduril Industries closes on land acquisition for expansion of current facility
STONE COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- A company with a major presence in Stone County is expanding its McHenry facility.
Anduril Industries officially closed today on more than 125 acres of property next to the current Mississippi Solid Rocket Complex site on East McHenry Road after leasing the land from the Stone County Economic Development partnership since 2020.
Anduril plans to expand production at the rocket complex with this land acquisition.
It is expected that production capacity will increase from 600 to more than 6,000 tactical solid rocket motors per year.
Anduril is investing $75 million into this expansion and the state of Mississippi and Department of Defense are also contributing to this project.
