American Girl Fashion Show

Over a hundred little ladies hit the runway in Gulfport to support the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center.
The American Girl Fashion Show took place once again, pairing up miniature models and their American Girl dolls to display the periodical fashions of the many different eras in the history of our nation while the audience enjoyed a full-blown tea party.
This is the third time the fundraiser has been hosted by the Lynn Meadows Discover Center. One hundred and twenty girls participated in this year’s fashion show. Lynn Meadows Executive Director Cindy DeFrances said, “We’re always trying to brainstorm and think outside the box for different ways to do fundraising for the museum so that we can continue to do educational things. We saw another fashion show was taking part in another part of the country. We just contacted American Girl and we were lucky enough to be the only host site in Mississippi to be able to do this.”
Lynn Meadows hopes to earn around $35,000 from this fundraising event.
