Amazing Women of South Mississippi: Spotlighting Renee Marcellus

WXXV News 25 is starting a brand-new segment focused on highlighting some phenomenal women in the area called ‘Amazing Women of South Mississippi.’

This week we are spotlighting Renee Marcellus from Long Beach.

Renee is a wife, mother, grandmother, volunteer, an RN, a home school teacher, and a Navy veteran.

Renee and her husband have four children ranging in age from 44 to six. They also have eight grandchildren ranging from ages 19 to one. After their biological kids were grown, the couple decided to become foster parents. The pair fostered four kids, eventually adopting her son, Noah.

She also enjoys volunteering with her church, this past week teaching vacation bible school.

Occasionally, Renee works on-call at a local hospital as a registered nurse so being a giving person comes natural to her.
