Amazing Women of South Mississippi: Highlighting Taja Cunningham

WXXV News 25 continues its brand-new segment highlighting some phenomenal women in the area called ‘Amazing Women of South Mississippi.’

This week we are spotlighting Taja Cunningham from Gautier.

Cunningham is an 18-year educator and currently teaches science. She has a background in Microbiology and a passion for promoting STEM careers.

She founded the non-profit, ‘Girls ARE & Boys CAN’ organization to empower youth in underserved communities. With her organization, she also aims to provide STEM opportunities, policy analysis, and mentorship to the younger generation.

Cunningham said she is committed to community revitalization and inspiring kids.
