Amazing Women of South Mississippi: Highlighting Stephanie McClure

WXXV News 25 continues its new segment highlighting some phenomenal women in the area called ‘Amazing Women of South Mississippi.’

This week we are spotlighting Stephanie McClure.

She is a wife and mother of two, a church volunteer, a veteran advocate, a nurse, and an event planner at the Biloxi VA.

McClure said her motivation to serve in her community comes from her parents being in the military.

“Both my parents, my mom and my dad, served. My dad is an Air Force veteran, but I had parents, who gave back to the community and served in church. So, it was something I grew up watching all my life. It became natural,” said McClure.

Along with her service in the community, she and her husband plan on participating in the Tunnels to Tower Run and Stair Climb in September. McClure said her husband is a first responder, so they want to participate this year.

“Well, that’s another organization that gives back to the community. I mean, my husband is a first responder, he’s a firefighter so it became nature for us to attend that. I think every percent that’s given is given to a family that has lost someone as a first responder,” said McClure.

McClure also is continuing her education in the field of nursing.
