Alternating lane closures at I-10 bridge in Hancock County

Alternating lane closures begin on the I-10 Pearl River Bridge at the state line in Hancock County today.

For weeks now, the right westbound lane of the bridge has been closed as crews completely replace a section of bridge decking.

That lane closure has caused significant delays on I-10 west each day, forcing some drivers to detour into Pearl River County and take I-59 into Louisiana.

As we reported earlier this week, this project is ahead of schedule and MDOT now says the entire project will wrap up on Monday.
