Alabama woman dies in crash in Jackson County

An Alabama woman who died in a crash in Jackson County has been identified.

Missossippi Highway Patrol spokesman Cal Robertson said 25-year-old Kayla Winstead of Irvington, was driving a Mustang south on Highway 613 in Jackson County on Saturday afternoon when the vehicle left the road and flipped several times.

Winstead received fatal injuries and died at the scene

Her passenger, 24-year-old Michael Hale-Unger was seriously injured in the crash.

the cause is under investigation by MHP.
