Alabama man arrested on robbery charges in Biloxi

On Sunday, September 10, 2023 around 7:48 pm, Biloxi Police Officers responded to the 800 block of Bayview Avenue in reference to a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers contacted the victim and learned that someone had stolen his money. During the course of the investigation, officers learned the victim was suffering from a medical issue when the alleged suspect approached and forcefully took the money.

Patrol Officers eventually located the suspect in the area and arrested him without incident. The suspect was later identified as 22-year-old James Antonio Johnson Jr. of Atmore, Alabama.

He was charged with robbery and transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and booked. Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set Johnson’s bond at $50,000.
