Alabama man arrested, charged in D’Iberville bank robbery

D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- A Prattville, Alabama man has been arrested in connection with the bank robbery in D’Iberville on Wednesday.
Thirty-year-old Lane Wesley Blatchford, 30, from Prattville, AL, was arrested on the charge of robbery.
On September 3, 2025, at approximately 3:00 pm, officers with the D’Iberville Police Department responded to the Hancock Whitney Bank located at 10335 D’Iberville Boulevard due to a reported robbery.
The investigation revealed Blatchford initially entered the bank and requested to use the restroom, he exits the bank and returns several minutes later and handed the teller a note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount, he then fled south on foot to his vehicle and left the area.
D’Iberville detectives working with local and federal partners were able to identify Blatchford as a person of intertest several hours later which was confirmed on September 04, 2025. Subsequently an arrest warrant was obtained.
Blatchford was located by the US Marshalls Service in the 10000 block of Central Avenue in D’Iberville and taken into custody without incident.
Blatchford was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where he was booked with a $250,000.00 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain pending an initial appearance.
