Aids task force chosen for courtyard makeover by General Missionary Baptist State Convention

A local Aids organization was chosen for a courtyard makeover.

The General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Mississippi was held at Morning Star Baptist Church. During their closing meeting, a check was presented to the South Mississippi Aids Task Force for $5,000.

The money raised plus 40 man hours donated will be used to make over the courtyard at the six-unit apartment facility and administrative headquarters of SMATF. GMBSC President Reginald Buckley said, “It is what our mission is, to be the hands and feet of Christ wherever we go. So, part of our agenda is to not only meet in these various cities across Mississippi, but to minister to real needs where they exist and so when we hear about a need, we try to fill it and make sure that those who are a part of our convention really impact the area before we leave.”

The courtyard makeover will include landscaping, outdoor furnishings, and a barbeque grill.
