Aggravated assault and attempted escape from Ocean Springs Jail

An inmate at the Ocean Springs Jail has been charged with aggravated assault and attempted escape after taking a taser from a correction officer.

Tranesa Morgan is currently being held at the jail for armed robbery at the Rumours Lounge in Ocean Springs earlier this month. It was while correction officers were serving meals to the inmates last Tuesday that Morgan obtained the taser by force from the officer then attempted to escape custody.

Her bond has been set at a total of $100,000 for the assault and attempted escape.
