Aggravated Assault Arrest

A man is behind bars charged with burglary and aggravated assault after stabbing a man in the stomach yesterday.
According to Sgt. Damon McDaniel, 37-year-old Philip Dwayne Kennedy of Gulfport turned himself in today at 11:45 and was taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
Kennedy is accused of driving to his ex-girlfriend’s house at the Sawgrass Apartments at 2 a.m. Monday morning, forcing his way inside and pulling out an unknown object and allegedly stabbing a male victim in the abdomen and then fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Kennedy is being held on a $200,000 bond.
