Adopt-a-Family at Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence for Christmas
The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence is looking for people to adopt a family this Christmas.
You’ll be in charge of helping Santa bring gifts to families and individuals impacted by interpersonal violence and who are in financial need.
The shelter is especially in need of gifts for teens and single adults.
The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence believes everyone deserves to have a gift to unwrap on Christmas day and your donation can help make that happen.
“So, this time of year we have a lot of families who are impacted, lots of kids in our shelter, and we want to make sure that during the holiday season they know they’re not forgotten,” said Rene Davis, communications director, “That they have the communities support. They have the support that they need in order to live a safe life, a happy life, and be successful in their healing from what they’ve dealt with. And a big part of that is providing for their needs, and providing them a little bit of joy this Christmas season.”
To sponsor a family, all you need to do is email Christmas@gccfn.org.
Cash donations are also accepted, as well as wrapping supplies.
