Action Trip To Jackson
Members of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Sisters Solidarity group left for Jackson this morning to speak with state lawmakers about proposed legislation. About 20 men and women loaded on a bus from Biloxi and Gulfport to spend the day voicing their concerns about education, health, and jobs in Mississippi. Many stressed the importance of meeting with lawmakers face to face to let them know they are passionate about these issues. “I hope to thank some of the folks who’ve been doing a lot on our behalf as well as meet some of the new folks, also to try to put forward ideas towards education, the environment, for jobs.” – Jeanne Lebow Traveling To Jackson Those traveling to Jackson are expected to land back here in South Mississippi around 5:30 tonight.
