Accident Involving School Bus

Two accidents at the same location on Highway 49 near School Road sent one to the hospital and caused a power pole to fall on top of a school bus.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, one vehicle struck a Harrison County school bus around 6:20 this morning. There were no children inside. Another vehicle then hit a telephone pole right next to the first accident causing it to fall down onto the school bus and rip the traffic light down on the north side of Highway 49.
This accident caused traffic back up with officials directing cars into one lane on both sides of 49. The one person transported to the hospital is being treated for minor injuries.[mappress mapid=”2137″]
