Accessory after the fact sentencing

A woman who admitted to helping her boyfriend create an alibi for a 2014 murder was sentenced to ten years in prison.
Twenty-three year-old Brittany Bridges pleaded guilty to aiding Nicolas Demorst after he killed Hunter Miller of Gautier in January 2014. Prosecutors say jail tapes show Bridges helping Demorst come up with an alibi while he was incarcerated.
Demorst was tried and convicted of capital murder in June 2015 and was sentenced to life without parole.
Today, Assistant District Attorney Cherie Wade said had Bridges efforts to help Demorst cover up a capital murder succeeded, Hunter Miller’s family would have never seen justice served.
