The big presidential election may be a little over a month away, but absentee ballots are already being mailed out.
Today, the busy two week absentee ballot preparation process came to a head for the Harrison County Circuit Clerks Office. The office sent out over 150 military ballots along with over 180 ballots to disabled voters.
Harrison County Circuit Clerk Connie Ladner tells News 25 on top of sending out absentee ballots, she plans to open up their office from 8 until noon the two Saturdays leading up to the election. “If you are requesting an absentee ballot and you’re out of town or you are here and disabled and not able to come into the courthouse to vote, you can call the Circuit Clerk’s Office and ask that a ballot be mailed to you. You can come into the office and vote absentee here until Saturday, November 5th at noon,” said Ladner.
