Arrested for aggravated assault

A George County woman is behind bars tonight, facing aggravated assault charges in connection with a shooting overnight.

The George County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home last night on Fulton Road in the Agricola Community where they found a female victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment and 63-year-old Charlotte Plumberg was charged with aggravated assault.

Plumberg is currently being held in the George County Jail.
